Social Action and Innovation Centre
KMOP is one of the oldest NGOs in Greece with 44 years of experience in supporting vulnerable people through the provision of social services, implementation of social initiatives, education, research and development of know-how on social policy issues. KMOP designs and implements innovative initiatives, aiming to tackle the ongoing challenges in a globalized world.
KMOP’s vision is a world that rest on integrity, tolerance, diversity, equal opportunities, solidarity and human dignity. Over the past 20 years, KMOP has implemented more than 250 international projects, with more than 20,000 beneficiaries. Since 2015, KMOP has been implementing its initiative Live Without Bullying, which aims at tackling bullying against children whether online or at school. LWB platform has supported more than 30,000 students, and our message has reached hundreds of thousands of people in Greece. Live Without Bullying is supported by the Greek Ministry of Education and has been evaluated by COFACE Families Europe as a Good Practice to confronting bullying.
Furthermore, KMOP provides social services through decentralised community based facilities (Three Group Houses and one Day Care Centre for mentally ill, as well as counselling centers in various towns).
